Our mission is to protect Colorado’s climate, air, land, water, and communities through organizing, advocacy and education.

Conservation Colorado Education Fund commits to practicing our values in our work to protect Colorado’s climate, air, land, water and communities. We are and will hold ourselves accountable to ensuring these values shape our behaviors, practices and decisions to further our mission to protect the environment.
Advocacy is speaking up for what we believe in to make change. It means coming together to stand up to powerful interests and push for strong protections for our air, water, lands, communities and climate—now and for future generations.
Making an impact means achieving thoughtful and strategically crafted goals that benefit Colorado. We hold ourselves accountable to our ambitious vision through realistic actions, delivering on priorities that yield tangible and measurable results. We actively seek and listen to feedback, learning from both our successes and mistakes.
The most effective solutions to the climate crisis and the greatest threats to the environment come from uniting all people. We focus on communities most affected by environmental and systemic injustices, amplifying their voices to ensure they are at the forefront of change.
Just relationships foster collaboration, trust and mutual respect among individuals, communities, organizations and decision-makers. These relationships go beyond transactional interactions and prioritize long-term sustainability and collective well-being. We nurture empathy and solidarity across diverse backgrounds and experiences. By cultivating relationships rooted in justice, trust and respect, we can foster meaningful partnerships.
The best results come from the work of cohesive, high-functioning teams that leverage our individual strengths to achieve shared goals. We strive to be collaborative and reliable, inspiring others to succeed while committing to clear, open communication and transparency.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Conservation Colorado Education Fund acknowledges that we live, work and learn on the traditional lands of the Ute, Cheyenne, Arapaho Peoples and 48 Tribal Nations with ties to Colorado. This land has been central to Indigenous cultural heritage, trade and healing for generations.
We honor the Elders—past, present and future—and recognize the painful history of displacement, genocide and policies that eroded Tribal sovereignty. These injustices persist today and require urgent action.
We honor and work with Indigenous communities through our policy and advocacy work, acknowledging their ongoing contributions and deep connections to the lands we now know as Colorado.
